Favia are LPS with encrusting or dome shaped growing behaviors which mimic the look of a brain. These are LPS corals that do best in low to moderate flow and light. Like most LPS, they tolerate a wide range of conditions, making them excellent choices for any style of reef tank. These corals can have long sweepers that can sting neighboring corals, so it’s best to give them at least a few inches of space.
